About a year ago these crap calls stopped for a while after I began listening all the way through to know to hit 2 (my friend had told me she listened all the way through and heard that instruction). The calls started again in the past week; 3 so far. Last year, like Inahaz - Sat, Jun 13th 2009, I also hit "1" and spoke to a "representative" who gave me the same vague explanation but somehow I did learn that the company called itself "Credit Card Services." When I asked the "representative" which of my cards he represented, he actually had the nerve to get threatening! What an a**hole! Still a year ago, I Googled "Credit Card Services" and saw the same pattern of numerous complaints spread out over several different complaint websites with the same results: nothing at all being done by anyone anywhere.

I just went through https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and it took me back to their national do not call registry, which I have already used.

I've gotten these calls on 7/11/09, 7/03/09 and 6/29/09 promising to lower my interest rate. I'm on the "Do Not Call List." This organization now has an option to remove yourself from their list. I've used it three times and, clearly, it's not really an option.

I'm going to try the "keep them on the line as long as possible" and see if I can get myself put on their do-not-call list.

I recently reported another call (different number) informing me that I was a sweepstakes winner although I've not entered any sweepstakes. This clearly goes beyond an annoying phone call because it's either a scam to steal identities or to collect money for taxes or shipping of a "prize" of no value. Yet, I got a form letter from the "Do Not Call" office telling me that their investigation didn't find any violation. So, I wonder if the feds are actually doing anything about the complaints.

Got annoying call from 1-804-234-9010. I'm on national do not call list and still get this creep. Feds should shut them down.

I'm on the do-not-call list, but they called and offered the discounted credit card rate yet again. Asked the person who answered what company this was, he replied "Card Services Financial, we service MasterCard and Visa." I asked which of my cards this was about, and he hung up. Filing a complaint with the FTC. Did a *69 to get this number.

THIS WORKED FOR ME -

Sure, we are also on the Do-not-call list, but still get the calls frequently. We pushed 2 several times... it doesn't work. Started pushing 1 and speaking to the rep. First time, a nice rep said that there are several offices calling so pressing 2 doesn't always hit every office's list. (BS)

So... On the next call, I pressed 1. Here is the transcript:

Rep: "We can help lower your credit card rates."
Me: "What company are you with."
Rep: "We work with all the major banks and credit card companies."
Me: "Great. How do I lower my rate?"
Rep: "Do you have at least $9,000 in credit card debt."
Me: (white lie) - "Yes... at least. he. he."
Rep: "Is your rate at least 13%?"
Me: "I'm not sure, probably. I can run to get a statement if that would be helpful."
Rep: "That would be great."
Me: Placed phone on hold...
He lasted just over 5 minutes on hold. I received another call at that point so had kill the line.

15 seconds later, private number flashed on the phone. I answered it.

Rep: "I think we were cut off"
Me: "Not really, I just wanted to waste your time like you are wasting everyone elses that's on the Do-not-call list."
Rep: pause… “Oh.. Ha. Ha”

This was 2 days ago... They have not called back since.

Try it for yourself. It can't hurt, and it's mildly entertaining. See how long you can keep them on the line.

I keep getting calls from this number wanting to lower my credit card interest rates. I select option 2 to be removed from the list and within a week they are calling back again. Is there any way of stopping thedse calls or reporting the abuse.

Soundes like an Asian woman asking about "Playing a Number." I hung up.

I'm on the "do not call list" yet i get calls from this number 804-234-9010 every day with different automated messeges, some claiming the govt. is giving away millions of dollars, some to reduce a mortgage rate when i only rent, some for loan rates and whatever, when i press 1 to speak with a representative the person on the phone is very rude and threatens to call back tomorrow again when i request not to be called.

I am on the federal and state do-not-call lists and have filed complaints regarding this number. I received my second automated call from 804-234-9010 stating "this is in regards to your current account, this offer expires today, press 1 to speak to your account manager". A woman answered, I stated I was a little confused as to the reason for her call. She stated it was an automated call to credit card holders, they are running a promotion to lower interest rates and would apply to any credit card with a minimum balence of $3000 and 10% or greater interest". She never identified herself or her company. When I asked to have my number removed from her list, she hung up.

This number has been reported with tons of scam like calls. Unfortunately it is most like spoofed. We need to get the spoofing hole closed or your phone will be getting more scam calls than we used to get sales calls before the do not call list. The time to start screaming at feds and phone companies is now! Think I am kidding the check your spam folder on your email and imagine if you could not filter your mail without looking at each one.

They say they are a real estate investment company, and about that time I hang up..My cell is my business phone so it's very important..and I can't screen calls, I have been getting 3-4 calls a day on my cell for the past 2 Months, calling the number and opting out does no good. HOWEVER this web-site will!!!
